Among the few revered human professions left are "memory makers" — artists with the extraordinary ability to craft vivid, lifelike memories based on real experience, that can be implanted into androids - giving them a taste of what it means to feel alive. Dr. Turner, one of the most celebrated memory makers of all, is summoned for a mysterious and high-stakes assignment.
