Born on the Polish coast. In Gdańsk. Graduated from the National Film School in Łódź and from the Wajda Film School Master Class. Also studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. A mentor and art supervisor on workshops “Tender Metropolis” for young filmmakers. in two editions: Warsaw-Berlin and Warsaw-Budapest. Apart from feature and experimental films, his portfolio includes many commercials and several dozen music videos awarded with multiple prizes and awards. On Yach Film festival 2017 he won the Best Director Award. He won second prize in the ‘Crossing Boundaries’ International Competition (Goethe Institute) for his short film ‘Kurs’/’Drive’. He creates visualizations for theater plays – for Powszechny and Studio theatres in Warsaw and for the Academy for Dramatic Arts in Cracow. In 2017 he finished his 30-minutes feature: ‘Jerry’ with Paweł Pawlikowski as the artistic supervisor. ‘Jerry’ awards: Best Film Award – Kamera Akcja Festival in Łódź 2017, Best Director – Open Place Film festival Latvia 2018, Best Screenplay – WAMA Film Festival 2017. Roman is a lecturer in University of Gdańsk on Departament of Film and Audiovisual Studies.
